Capitol Steps writer and performer Mark Eaton is putting the "mock" back in Democracy. KUAC's Lori Neufeld chatted with Eaton about their show, that's making a stop in Fairbanks on their Alaska tour.

Te Vaka, a dynamic group of 8 musicians and dancers from Samoa, the Cook Islands and New Zealand, arrives in Fairbanks today!

This group has been enchanting the world with its own brand of South Pacific Fusion for over a decade presenting a mix of Polynesia's ancient culture joined with the modern world. FAIRBANKS - Temperatures have hit freezing, and with snow on the ground there’s no doubt winter has come to Fairbanks. So it seems apt that Polynesian music and dance group Te Vaka should visit Fairbanks now, bringing its warm, upbeat sounds of the South Pacific with them.

Using a mix of music styles, stories and languages from Polynesia, the group labels itself as “South Pacific Fusion,” according to founder and band leader Opetaia Foa’i.
