Board of Directors
Meet our talented and hard working Board of Directors.
Scott McCrea - President
Special Assistant for University Advancement, UAF. Active in several university and community wide organizations. He has been a board member since 2001.
"It's hard to put into words how rewarding it is to be a part of this organization. The best part comes on performance night when someone comes up afterwards and thanks you for bringing that performer up. FCA is truly making a difference in this community, whether it be inspiring the next generation of musicians to pursue their dream or bringing a bit of warmth and light to our audience members on a cold winter night."
Cori Anthony - Vice-President
As the Assistant Principal at Randy Smith Middle School, Cori brings her unique perspective to the board.
"I know the importance of art education in the well rounded development of each individual child. FCA's educational outreach is one way in which both children and adults in the Interior can experience the arts. I am honored to play a part in helping this happen."
As both our VP and the chair of our Education and Outreach Committee, Cori plays a big part in making FCA's extended effect on the community happen! She also serves on the Fairbanks Arts and Cultural Education Committee, helps out with CD sales at FCA concerts, coaches High School gymnastics and is active in community service programs. She has been a board member since December 2004.
Suzanne Bishop - Secretary
Strategic Giving Officer at the University of Alaska Fairbanks. Active in community service organizations. A returning Board member in 2009, Suzanne chairs the marketing and development committee, helps out at concerts, sets up the lobby, organized FCA's participation at the Tanana Valley State Fair and is actively involved in many FCA activities. Suzanne doesn't ask "how can I help," she sees a need and steps in.
Doug Braddock - Treasurer
Retired from the FNSB. Active participant on several boards. A board member since 2010, Doug serves on the Artist Selection Committee and several ad hoc committees.
Ted Fathauer
Meteorologist, National Weather Service Forecast Office. Strong supporter of the arts and civic organizations, serves on several boards. A board member since 1988, Ted has been attending FCA programs for 30 years, and feels that
"Were it not for FCA, many fine performances and artists would not come here. These people enrich our lives here. My wife probably would consider leaving without arts organizations in our community. Me too. Winter days in Fairbanks can be long and frustrating. FCA's expanding outreach programs are sharing our wealth with students and other far flung communities. This gives me a good feeling."
Ted serves on the finance committee and is always there to help out with CD sales at concerts. He contributes funds to FCA as both a member and to the Education Partnership and helps spread the word about FCA and our performances. Ted and his wife Maryann also host board meetings and receptions at their home.
Barb Hameister
Publications and Meetings Manager for the Center for Global Change at UAF. A board member since 2010, Barb serves on the Artist Selection Committee and always jumps in to help out at concerts.
"I am both honored and delighted to be the newest member of the FCA Board! In my 20+ years in Fairbanks, I have been impressed and entertained by the variety and quality of the performances that FCA brings to the community, and now I am excited to be part of the organization that makes it possible. The performing arts have played a central role throughout my life; I can't imagine existing without them, whether as a performer or an audience member. Being on the FCA board allows me to share this love with my fellow Fairbanksans!"
Celeste Hansen
Retired Chamber of Commerce Marketing Manager. Active in many community service organizations. A board member since 1991, Celeste has devoted years to FCA because she feels it contributes so much to the community. She gives her time, money and passion to FCA and serves on the hospitality committee.
Jeremy Johnson

"FCA is one of (if not the) major presenters for the Fairbanks area for bringing in U.S. as well as international groups. We area able to collaborate with other presenters to keep costs to the audiences as low as possible. We make an effort to expand our audience not only in Delta Junction and Healy, but also in different venues around Fairbanks. We choose groups based not only on the quality of performance, but also on their ability to provide education in the schools. In recognition of the varied musical interests in Fairbanks we maintain our historical production of classical music as well as expanding to include genres which may be attractive to young adults."
