Education Partnership

As a non-profit, your Fairbanks Concert Association is driven by a purpose and a passion for providing service to our community. The FCA Education Partnership is a key element in the Association's community service. We need your ongoing support in order to conduct the outreach program and donate tickets to educational institutions.

Community Outreach

Through our highly successful Community Outreach Program, FCA provides tickets to every one of our performances, free of charge, to social service and non-profit agencies within the Fairbanks community. If you are interested in participating, please call us at 474-8081.

School Performances

Fairbanks school children are offered the exciting opportunity of attending FCA’s diverse educational programs. In collaboration with the Fairbanks Arts Association’s FACE committee (Fairbanks Arts and Cultural Education), many of the same great master artists we present in public performances are working with or performing for our students, district wide. Last season alone, more than 10,000 school children benefited from this program!

Residencies

We make every effort to bring together FCA’s visiting professional artists with local artists and students through master classes, workshops and lecture demonstrations, at a nominal fee. These residencies are intended to cultivate the arts in our community, to inspire, to teach and to foster exchange. These opportunities are highly sought-after everywhere, but especially here in interior Alaska, thousands of miles from the cultural centers of the world.

Education Partnership

Now in its eigth year, FCA's Education Partnership program is designed to help underwrite our exciting, annual Family Program. This year, your $200 contribution helps us to drastically reduce the general ticket prices to Tomas Kubinek and underwrites the cost for in-need children to attend. Thanks to the commitment and financial support of countless community members, hundreds of young people have attended a FCA Family Program performance, free of charge. This year, your $200 contribution to FCA’s Education Partnership will make it possible for eight students, who could otherwise not afford to enjoy the breathtaking, exciting Tomas Kubinek, our 2010/11 Family Program! To become a FCA Education Partner, please indicate so on your sign-up form. The arts are essential. Please help make it possible for all children to experience the joy of live performances.
