So here’s how it happened:
Sometimes you just want what you want and when FCA president and co-chair of the artist selection committee Scott McCrea found out (OK, I told him) that RSC was doing The Complete World of Sports (Abridged) he had to have them. That’s just the way it was. They are not blocked booked. Anchorage isn’t getting them – there will be no laughter in Anchorage in January this year and frankly, no one else in the state could afford them. FCA went alone. Now, it wasn’t only Scott, we all wanted them. We need to laugh in January and RSC is a sure bet for the entire family. Sports lovers, Shakespeare lovers, comedy lovers. Do you like to laugh? Then come to this. Don’t worry about how cold it is, you will be warmed up quickly enough…
Collaboration, connection and community:
We’ll offer a workshop with RSC Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM at Hering Auditorium. All Welcome, no experience necessary. Workshop is $20 but participants can buy tickets for the performance for $25 through the FCA office 474-8081. What a great way to kick off both Funny Fest and the Bardathon.
