In 2008, Baka Beyond offered a drumming and dancing workshop to the public on November 1 at the Artisan's Courtyard. Sixteen people spent the morning learning the percussive rhythms and exciting dance moves of the Baka people of Cameroon. FCA offers workshops whenever the artists have enough time on the ground in Fairbanks, and we love to see what results from these opportunities.

Drummer Nii Tagoe and dancer Denise Rowe shared their talents and enthusiasm with our workshop participants. If you look closely, you can even catch a glimpse of Anne Biberman, our eager Executive Director, among the dancers.
