With Imago Theatre's ZooZoo, we are officially kicking off our annual Education Partnership Fundraiser. This is how we offset the costs of our school performances, workshops, ticket donation programs and continue to offer family programs, like Imago Theatre at prices families can afford to attend together.

With everything we do we try to connect our community, offer some fun, some joy and some great performances.

We am very proud of the fact that we are hard working, efficient, small, lean even. With one full time and one mostly- part-time-employee, Rhonda and Anne can, and often do, cover for each other.  We are blessed with some amazing people in this organization: Our Board, our volunteers and our sponsors. I wonder what would we do without them? We would have to have a big staff -- and there would go that model of efficiency.

Our budget this year reminds me of a cartoon by Sidney Harris. There's this guy at a blackboard that has a long, long mathematical equation. In the middle of the equation is  "and then, a miracle happens." That miracle is you.

Our Education Partnership is the only fundraiser we do all year, other than membership. I would submit to you that everything we do has educational merit. Obviously, our school shows and workshops are educational, but so are our trips to Delta and Healy, so is every concert we put on for you by a performer or genre you may not have seen. I know I learn a lot from each artist I have the privilege of hearing and seeing. I guess the real question though, is what do you get out of it? This year, more than ever, I hope you'll take a minute to ask this question, determine our value, and donate accordingly.

Then, with your help, perhaps a miracle really will happen!
