Passing the Hat Update

Passing the Hat has been an amazing success that tapped the spirit of giving back to the community, caught the attention of community foundations around the state as a model of giving, and provided resources for the community and the Fairbanks Concert Association.

The Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival has won the grant writing workshop.
Although the initial grant has been used up, enthusiasm for this prpoject has been so overwhelming that we are determined to keep the "Hat" going. We will continue to accept donations and the North Star Community Foundation will continue to track them and will match forthcoming donations in the order in which they are received as further money becomes available. We are feeling very positive that we will be able to attract further support for this project and will keep you informed on our progress.
